<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Hairline recession in
your 30s isn't uncommon, in fact over 30% of all men will experience it
during this period of their lives. However, by taking the proper steps,
men can prevent hair loss from worsening and, in many cases, they can
also restore those areas of the scalp where hair loss has already
occurred. Medically tested treatments like finasteride, minoxidil,
platelet-rich plasma or PRP, and low level laser therapy are just some
of the treatments men can undergo to protect their hairlines. </span></span>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">There has been much speculation that Rachel Roy is the inspiration behind Beyonce's "Becky with the good hair," and while we may never know if those rumors are true, there is no denying that she has luscious locks. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">So what is her secret? </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Rachel dished on some of her "good hair" tips in a new interview with <i>Into the Gloss</i>. Of her hair care regimen, she said, "On occasion, I do get oil treatments where they put oil on your scalp row by row and then massage you for 30 minutes. It’s amazing because my scalp gets dry. That’s why I only wash my hair about once a week. I’m a dry shampoo girl because of that. I can get a blowout to last me a whole week. If I get it styled, I like braids or a ponytail. I like it done really high and tight because it gives your face a little lift."</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Whatever she is doing, it is obviously working, she has beautiful hair, but some of her comments could potentially mean trouble for her follicles down the road. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Giving your scalp a little extra TLC is essential for healthy hair, whether it is scalp treatments or massage, healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. However, while I don't think there is reason to wash your hair every day, as many Americans do, you want to be careful that dry shampoo doesn't replace a regular shampoo regimen. While washing once a week may seem extreme, <span>how often to wash your hair is a very individual one. If your scalp is oily or you tend to
workout, you might need to wash your hair more frequently than someone
who has dry hair or scalp or who is not as athletically active. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">
</span></span><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span><br />As
for how often you should use dry shampoo between washes, this varies by
individual as well, due to their sebum production, lifestyle and
styling habits. In the beginning, I would advise trying the dry shampoo
just once or twice between washes and be mindful of sebum, product or
other buildup that could impact style or scalp health. Dry shampoo
should absolutely NOT replace your regular shampoo/conditioner regimen. </span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">
</span></span><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span><br /></span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">
</span></span><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span>As for her styling habits, I always advise women to be cautious with tight styles, such as braids and high ponytails, because they can potentially cause damage to your hair follicles, if overused. </span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">
<span>Just remember, hair care is just like skin care, and should be adjusted to your specific needs, what works for some women, won't work for all. So find a regimen that keeps your hair and scalp feeling healthy, and limit any potentially harmful habits or products. </span></span></span></div>

</span></span><ol>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Shampoo
& Conditioner - This is the first line of defense for your hair and
can create a protective layer against environmental damage. Use a
shampoo that is sulfate-free and has a deep cleanser - it should remove
remove pollutants but not strip the hair of its essential oils. The
conditioner should protect and lubricate the cuticle, so look for one
with amino silicones and cationic surfactants. </span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Protective
Treatments - Sunscreen can be applied directly to the hair as a
"sunblock" to protect its color. Applying lightweight silicone products
to damp hair will protect against frizz while enhancing shine.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Vitamins - Make sure your diet includes several key vitamins for your hair, like iron, zinc, biotin, selenium and B-12.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Hair
Supplements - Nutritional supplements like Viviscal will also boost the
quality and growth factor of your hair, helping you in summer. </span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Laser
Treatment - Low level laser therapy is a great way to stimulate growth
and thickness in the hair, and will help in summer months. There are
several hand-held “laser brushes” available on the market,
including Erchonia’s THL-1, Sunetics Laser Brush and the HairMax
LaserComb. </span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Avoid
Damaging Activities - During hot summer months, be extra careful about
these risk factors: pool chlorine, hair dye, blow dryers, curling and
flat irons, straightening and over shampooing.</span></span></span></li>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">After going through three hair colors in one month, Emma Stone has been crowned Hollywood's newest hair chameleon. But while changing your style so much can be fun, and often gets you a reputation as a fashion risk taker, it can also cause serious damage to your hair.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />Many women don’t seem to realize that chemicals like bleaches and dyes can fundamentally change the structure of their hair, making it weaker and more susceptible to breakage and damage. Overusing these treatments and frequent color changes can lead to breakage, hair fallout, loss of density and volume, and in some severe cases, even traction alopecia.<br /><br />If Emma continues to change up her color so frequently, she may want to consider starting on a regimen of hair vitamins, like Viviscal Pro or professional-grade Biotin, which can stimulate healthy hair growth and give your hair's overall health a boost. </span></span></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Michael Lohan recently underwent a hair transplant, no doubt to help him look his best at daughter Lindsay's upcoming wedding. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">At 56, Lohan has been experiencing hair loss for years, and had deep recession in the temporal regions as well as a balding crown. For years, he had tried different methods to conceal the hair loss, including a combover style, but as the hair loss progressed, these methods simply weren't enough anymore. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Good for him for taking advantage of the advanced transplant methods available. <span>New microsurgical no-scalpel/no-stitch
harvesting techniques like NeoGraft FUE or ARTAS Robotic-Assisted Transplants allow for
a minimally-invasive no-linear-scar “follicle-by-follicle” approach. This
advanced process allows for diminished downtime and discomfort while avoiding
the pluggy look and linear scars which traditional ‘old-style’ hair transplants
left behind. </span></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I talk a lot about Hollywood's many hair chameleons on the blog, but usually it is in reference to female stars, but Brad Pitt deserves mention too. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.gq.com/story/brad-pitt-hair-god-can-do-both-tbt">GQ recently deemed the star a "hair god"</a> for being able to pull off everything from long hair to buzz cuts and just about anything in between. But what I find most remarkable about Mr. Pitt's hair is that his hairline is still strong, thick and healthy at 52. As I've mentioned before, the hair loss risk increases with age ... But, specifically, at his age, Mr. Pitt is defying a 50-percent chance of hair loss.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />So how does he do it? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Good genes of course play a role, but there is a good chance there are other factors at play as well. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">It's my guess that Mr. Pitt has been very proactive in protecting his hairline over the last 10 to 20 years, and probably uses some type of preventative treatment - like FDA approved Propecia. I also wouldn't be surprised if he's used Rogaine from time to time (although treatment should be consistent to be effective) and low level laser therapy.<br /><br />Just a hunch, but hair as good as his usually requires medical intervention. <br /><br />But will it last forever? Not without medical treatments like the ones I described above. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;">Photo by PR Photos</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Selena Gomez recently revealed some of her hair care secrets to Cosmo U.K., telling the magazine, "I don't wash my hair everyday, which may sound gross, but it's actually really bad for my hair." Selena went on to explain that she usually washes her hair every third of fourth day, and uses a little dry shampoo on the off days. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">So is skipping a few washes going to give you hair like the Pantene spokesmodel? Unfortunately, probably not, but that doesn't mean there isn't something to be said for less frequent washes. The answer to how often to wash your hair is a very individual one. Did you know that Europeans wash their hair on average 2-3 times a week and many Americans wash twice a day? If your scalp is oily or you tend to workout, you might need to wash your hair more frequently than someone who has dry hair or scalp or who is not as athletically active. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />As for how often you should use dry shampoo between washes, this varies by individual as well, due to their sebum production, lifestyle and styling habits. In the beginning, I would advise trying the dry shampoo just once or twice between washes and be mindful of sebum, product or other buildup that could impact style or scalp health. Dry shampoo should absolutely NOT replace your regular shampoo/conditioner regimen. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Just remember, hair care is just like skin care, and should be adjusted to your specific needs. </span></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Stress alone doesn’t cause permanent hair loss, but it can
lead to temporary hair loss in both men and women. But when we are talking
about stress and hair loss, it is important to understand that we’re not
talking about everyday stress. Stress-related hair loss is brought on by
extreme stress and is most commonly associated with life-altering events, such
as death, serious illness, and according to some studies, even divorce. However
it can be extremely difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of our hair loss,
because the stressors can come from a variety of sources.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">When stress sends your body into a state of shock, your hair
can be forced into a resting state prematurely, which is what causes the sudden
hair loss. As we all know, some shedding (100-200 strands/day) is normal
because hair follicles cycle on and off naturally over time. New hair
production pushes out the old resting hairs as follicles switch from 'resting'
to 'growing' phase. </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Odds are, Kelly's hair will be fine, she seems to be handling the stress like a pro. But, for those who experience any
sudden, unusual, or excessive shedding, don’t ignore it, or
simply assume it is the result of stress. Hair loss caused by stress, whether
emotional or physical, is particularly difficult to self-diagnose, because it
doesn’t happen immediately following the stressful period or triggering event,
it often happens weeks, or even months afterwards. To properly diagnose the
cause of your hair loss, it is important to be evaluated by a board-certified
hair restoration physician, who can help determine if your hair loss is in fact
due to stress, or if it is a symptom of a more serious underlying health
condition.</span></span><style>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Rosie O'Donnell recently took to Twitter to open up about her hair loss issues, posting a photo of herself with a noticeably thinning hairline. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">While Rosie's admission was brave, she isn't alone. According to the American Hair Loss Association, 40% of women experience hair loss or ‘thinning’ by the time they reach menopause. Women’s hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, hormonal changes, diet, health, medications and stress. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Female hair loss is extremely common and extremely misunderstood. While women experience high rates of hair loss just like men do, the public awareness is far below that of what is for men. Women with thinning hair tend to suffer a far greater psychological and social burden than men. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">But the good news for Rosie, and the millions of women suffering from hair loss and thinning, is that there is a whole range of effective treatment options available for them that can prevent, control and reverse the hair loss process. Some of these treatments include Rogaine For Women, Formula 82M, PRP Therapy, low level laser therapy, nutritionals, minimally invasive hair transplants and even Latisse (the Brooke Shields eyelash drug).</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Women who are suffering from hair loss or thinning, should contact an experienced hair restoration physician who can work with them to determine the most effective treatment regimen for their specific needs. Patients should look for a doctor who is a full-time medical hair loss specialist certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and recommended by the American Hair Loss Association.</span></span><br /></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Kaley Cuoco celebrated wrapping up another season of her hit show with a new look. The star ditched her character's bob for long extensions, saying on Instagram of the decision, "It's very important for me to change my look after wrapping each season :) I love playing Penny, but it's good for me to bring it back to Kaley, last year I chopped it all off- this year I'm doing the opposite."</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">While extensions may seem like an easy way to change up your style, they aren't without risks. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">The reality is, hair extensions are actually extremely harmful to the hair follicles. Because of the excess weight and pulling, hair extensions, when worn too much, can lead to a type of hair loss called "traction alopecia." Traction alopecia is a form of "scarring alopecia" and characterized by an obliteration of the hair follicles. Hair transplantation is the most effective way to reverse this condition.<br /><br />If you are a regular user of hair extensions, weaves, braids or wigs that attach to the hair, your hair follicles are in danger of permanent damage. <br /><br />Hollywood often leads the world when it comes to style, but this is one trend I recommend avoiding! </span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Chrissy Teigen recently gave birth to a baby girl - but now that she's in the postpartum phase, she could start to see some associated hair loss.<br /><br />Postpartum hair loss is relatively common - but don't worry, it isn't permanent. The medical community believes it could be triggered by the hormonal fluctuations that occur during this period. While pregnant, women see a surge in their estrogen and progesterone levels (which is why women have such great hair when pregnant) - and after the baby is born, these levels return to the pre-pregnancy level. It is this sudden drop-off in hormone levels that causes the hair follicles to go into short-term shock.<br /><br />As a result, shedding is quite common in the weeks, and months, following the delivery.<br /><br />Chrissy may not experience postpartum hair loss - but if she does, I hope her doctors will tell her not to worry. Postpartum hair loss is normal, temporary, and shouldn't be a problem. If she does experience excessive thinning and wants to speed up the hair recovery process, she may want to consider a regimen of low level laser therapy and a vitamin supplement like Viviscal to help stimulate healthy hair growth. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Former England Football captain, David Platt, is opening up about his recent hair transplant. Platt, 49, who now does sports commentary, wanted to improve his severely receded hairline, and decided to take advantage of the latest transplant technology - robotic hair transplants. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"> </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Platt underwent his hair transplant 18 months ago, and is now sharing his results. The transplant was performed with the ARTAS System, an image-guided robot that can harvest up to 1,000 hair grafts in a single hour - which makes hair transplant surgery faster and safer. The combination of artistry and technology afforded by ARTAS
means patients are getting the ‘best of both worlds,’ and the end result
is hairlines that look incredibly natural and not transplanted. </span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I'm happy to hear that Platt is pleased with his results, and that he is sharing his story with his fans. Hopefully this helps encourage more men unhappy with their own hair loss to take advantage of this cutting-edge technology. </span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Huffington Post recently asked for my expert opinion on whether or not wearing a hat can make you bald. The question came about after an article in GQ suggested wearing a hat led to baldness. <br /><br />I was so glad they decided to investigate, as the statement made in the article was far from true, and a great example of the myths associated with hair follicles and male pattern hair loss that continue to be perpetuated by the uneducated. </span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /><br />While you may see hair loss suffers wearing hats to cover bald spots or re-frame their face in a youthful way, I can 100% assure you - hats<b> DO NOT </b>and <b>CANNOT </b>cause male pattern hair loss!</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">It can be overwhelming to walk down the shampoo aisle at the store, with the seemingly never-ending rows of products promising perfect volume or shine.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">With so many different products on the market, it can be hard to know what your hair needs, and what it doesn't. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">StyleCaster recently asked for my thoughts on clarifying shampoos, and if we actually need them. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">When it comes to clarifying shampoos, the thing to keep in mind is they are alkaline, and are typically used to remove buildup, although they can be very drying since they also remove sebum/oils. These effects can be combated with any high-surfactant shampoo that will help cleanse the scalp. Conditioners are also used to help replenish moisture to the hair fibers. </span><br />

alopecia." Traction alopecia is a form of "<a href="http://www.baumanblog.com/follicleblog/2009/07/traction-alopecia-in-ethnic-populations-hispanic-and-africandescent.html">scarring alopecia</a>"
and characterized by an obliteration of the hair follicles. Hair
transplantation is the most effective way to reverse this condition.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">While this may seem extreme, it does happen, and more frequently than these extension-loving celebrities may want to admit. In the case of North West, the use of extensions at this age is simply not a good idea. Her hair follicles are not as strong, and are more susceptible to damage. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My advice would be for both mom, and daughter, to stick to more natural styles, for the sake of their hair! </span></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Julianne Hough has a wavy new 'do, Khloe Kardashian is sporting a lob, and Miranda Kerr is bringing back the classic bob. </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">There is no time like spring to change up your hairstyle. Whether it is a new, shorter 'do, or a change in color like we're seeing with Sarah Hyland, Emma Roberts, and Shailene Woodley - who all decided to go darker in honor of spring's arrival. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">While spring can be a great time to change up your look, just be careful, because chemicals like bleaches and dyes can fundamentally change the structure of their hair, making it weaker and more susceptible to breakage and damage. Overusing these treatments and frequent color changes can lead to breakage, hair fallout, loss of density and volume, and in some severe cases, even traction alopecia.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">If you're looking for a way to give your hair a little TLC after the winter months, you may want to consider a "scalp makeover," because healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp! Beauty treatments for the scalp can range from sebum-regulating topical serums (as well as hydration, anti-hormonals and blood microcirculation stimulants) to scalp steaming, scalp massage, electrotherapy stimulation, hair boosting dermal patches and laser therapy.<br /></span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">It isn't uncommon for celebrities to change up their look, especially following a long run as a TV character, or a recurring movie role. This helps them distance themselves from the character. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">It has been less than a year since David Letterman passed the late-night torch, but he wasted no time in reinventing his image. The star was recently photographed looking nearly unrecognizable with a full beard and bald head. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">In past interviews, Letterman hinted that a beard was part of his retirement plan, saying,"I had to shave every day — every day — for 33 years," he said. "And even before that when I was working on local TV. And I just thought, the first thing I will do when I am not on TV is stop shaving."</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Perhaps more surprising than the beard, is seeing Letterman completely bald. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">While there are lots of ways to help those suffering from hair loss - good for Letterman for taking a more lax approach to grooming in his retirement! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">You can see photos of Letterman's new look, <a href="http://www.nationalenquirer.com/photos/david-letterman-beard-bald-retirement/photo/152507/">here</a>. </span>Dr. Alan J. <div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">We may have to wait another week to see if Superman defeats Batman in the new Dawn of Justice movie, but one battle we know he isn't winning, is the one with his receding hairline. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">In photos from his current promotional tour, you can see that Henry Cavill, 32, is experiencing quite a bit of recession in the temporal region. Considering he is part of a widely successful film franchise, it is probably time for him to consider some proactive measures, to ensure his recession doesn't continue. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">While he may seem young to be seeing hair loss, it isn't uncommon, in fact, 30% of men in the their 30s will experience some degree of hair loss, and that risk increases as you age. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Cavill could benefit from a hair regimen of FDA-approved Propecia, or Rogaine, which could help him avoid further recession. He would hardly be the first actor to take action against hair loss, more are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many actors looking to enhance their looks discreetly with little downtown and recovery.</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">President Obama has been known to joke about the prevalence of his gray hairs, especially in the years since he took office, and today, he offered up some advice on the subject to Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, telling him, "if he plans to keep his dark hair, then you have to start dyeing it early."</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">The president admitted that when he came into office he had no gray hairs, now he has a lot. But in the past, he shrugged off those that attributed his gray hairs to stress, saying his grandfather went gray at 29. And he's right. While stress may play a role in the appearance of gray hair, in the end, it really comes down to genetics and aging. Which means, if you want to know your risk level, take a look at your parents and grandparents and when they grayed, it can give you an idea of what you can expect.Though it varies by individual, on average, the onset of gray hair can usually be seen around age 30 for men and age 35 for women, but for others, it can occur much earlier, and some, much later. <br /><br />As of right now, there isn't a lot we can do to prevent or delay the onset of gray hair, but that might not be in the case in the future, thanks to a recent discovery that found the first gene link to graying hair. The gene, IRF4 was known to affect color, but the research found that it also plays a unique role in the transition to grey. More research will have to be conducted, but this news could lead to a lot fewer people dyeing their hair in the future. </span></span></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ3gik6kGj5CC3I4XI4pqujiiEhHzm29jsPT9LBoDUjOftq67Uo_X8VBJSQGB6_3kpcZ1owcvxbhKgAe9BSEmlye0vr08NYKp2LAuhw4KFYXgTsvG8-IcnEzHxrsg5cylUxMxCYSBCn58/s1600/LMK-086647.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ3gik6kGj5CC3I4XI4pqujiiEhHzm29jsPT9LBoDUjOftq67Uo_X8VBJSQGB6_3kpcZ1owcvxbhKgAe9BSEmlye0vr08NYKp2LAuhw4KFYXgTsvG8-IcnEzHxrsg5cylUxMxCYSBCn58/s320/LMK-086647.jpg" width="245" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Photo by PR Photos </span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">While George Clooney has fully embraced his role as a silver fox, that isn't the case with millions of men and women who go to great lengths to keep those pesky grey hairs away. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">But new research could hold the key to slowing, or even preventing grey hairs, in the future that is. The research, which was published in <i>Nature Communications</i>, has discovered the first gene link to greying hair. The gene, IRF4 was known to affect color, but the research found that it also plays a unique role in the transition to grey. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">More research will have to be conducted, but this news certainly has the potential to lead to a decrease in the number of silver foxes in the future. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">It is no secret that Lady Gaga makes some unique, and sometimes questionable, decisions in the name of beauty of fashion. The risk-taker recently admitted to bleaching her eyebrows everyday, in order to make them, "more versatile."</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />The reveal has some questioning whether or not this is safe, or healthy for your eyebrows. </span></span></div>
