Former England Footballer David Platt Discusses Robotic Hair Transplant

The ARTAS System

Former England Football captain, David Platt, is opening up about his recent hair transplant. Platt, 49, who now does sports commentary, wanted to improve his severely receded hairline, and decided to take advantage of the latest transplant technology - robotic hair transplants.

Platt underwent his hair transplant 18 months ago, and is now sharing his results. The transplant was performed with the ARTAS System, an image-guided robot that can harvest up to 1,000 hair grafts in a single hour - which makes hair transplant surgery faster and safer. The combination of artistry and technology afforded by ARTAS means patients are getting the ‘best of both worlds,’ and the end result is hairlines that look incredibly natural and not transplanted.

I'm happy to hear that Platt is pleased with his results, and that he is sharing his story with his fans. Hopefully this helps encourage more men unhappy with their own hair loss to take advantage of this cutting-edge technology.

You can read more about Platt's surgery, and see before-and-after photos, here.
