Is the 'Granny' Look Bad for Your Hair?

Celebrities ranging from Kelly Osbourne to Rihanna, Kate Moss, Nicole Richie and Pink have all been seen sporting gray hair accentuated 'do's - and according to a new piece in Huffington Post UK, "granny hair" is becoming more popular among many other stylish elite as well.

But to get this style you have to risk damaging the hair strands through multiple bleaching treatments. In some cases, it could take as long as six months.

Most people don't realize this, but harsh chemicals like bleach and dye fundamentally change the structure of hair - making it weaker and more susceptible to breakage and damage. Overusing these treatments can lead to severe breakage, a common cause of loss of hair volume.
