Huffington Post recently asked for my expert opinion on whether or not wearing a hat can make you bald. The question came about after an article in GQ suggested wearing a hat led to baldness.
I was so glad they decided to investigate, as the statement made in the article was far from true, and a great example of the myths associated with hair follicles and male pattern hair loss that continue to be perpetuated by the uneducated.
While you may see hair loss suffers wearing hats to cover bald spots or re-frame their face in a youthful way, I can 100% assure you - hats DO NOT and CANNOT cause male pattern hair loss!
