Hollywood's Newest Hair Chameleon - Emma Stone

After going through three hair colors in one month, Emma Stone has been crowned Hollywood's newest hair chameleon. But while changing your style so much can be fun, and often gets you a reputation as a fashion risk taker, it can also cause serious damage to your hair.

Many women don’t seem to realize that chemicals like bleaches and dyes can fundamentally change the structure of their hair, making it weaker and more susceptible to breakage and damage. Overusing these treatments and frequent color changes can lead to breakage, hair fallout, loss of density and volume, and in some severe cases, even traction alopecia.

If Emma continues to change up her color so frequently, she may want to consider starting on a regimen of hair vitamins, like Viviscal Pro or professional-grade Biotin, which can stimulate healthy hair growth and give your hair's overall health a boost.

Ariana Grande Goes Back to Her Natural Curls

Ariana Grande has said goodbye to her signature ponytail in favor of her natural curls. The star has become known for her high ponytails, and is rarely seen without one. She defended her style on Facebook last January, explaining why she sticks with that particular look, by saying, "I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down...And trust me, it is even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back."

Well, it appears that the young star's wait is over, as she recently debuted pictures on Instagram showing healthy, long wavy hair.

Ariana attributes her hair woes to constant hair colorings for past roles, and her concerns are certainly justified. Dyes can do tremendous damage to your hair, putting your locks at a much higher risk of breakage. Needless to say, I'm glad she has ditched the hair dyes, and her tight ponytails for that matter. They too can put your hair at risk of breakage.

Hopefully the young star decides to stick with her natural look for a while, her hair will thank her later!

Kylie Jenner - Risks of Being a Hair Chameleon

While being a hair chameleon can get you a reputation as a fashion risk taker, it can also cause serious damage to your hair.

Following in the footsteps of her older sisters, Kylie Jenner is becoming known for her ever-changing hair style. Trying everything from blue to blonde locks.

But is this behavior putting her hair at risk?

Many women don’t realize that chemicals like bleaches and dyes can fundamentally change the structure of their hair, making it weaker and more susceptible to breakage and damage. Overusing these treatments and frequent color changes can lead to breakage, hair fallout, loss of density and volume, and in some severe cases, even traction alopecia.

If Kylie continues to change up her color frequently, she may want to consider starting on a regimen of hair vitamins, like Viviscal Pro or professional-grade Biotin, which can stimulate healthy hair growth and give your hair's overall health a boost.

Hair Chameleon Nicole Richie Does it Again

Nicole Richie, 32, has become known as a chameleon in Hollywood for her ever-changing hair color. In fact just this week the star ditched her lavender locks for a bolder shade of blue.

Demi Lovato "Giving Hair a Break"

Hair chameleon Devi Lovato announced this week she is "giving her hair a break" and returning to her brunette roots. The young star is known for her dramatic styling choices and can usually be seen sporting colorful locks, but she may not be aware of the potential damage she is causing to her hair.

Many consumers don’t realize that chemicals like bleaches and dyes fundamentally change the structure of your hair, making it weaker and more susceptible to breakage and damage. Overusing these treatments can lead to severe breakage, hair fallout, loss of density and volume and, if bad enough, even traction alopecia.

The good news is that in most cases the damage your hair will sustain is only temporary - but it will take a while for the damage strands to grow back. The best advice is to avoid dyeing your hair too frequently - however, you can also try boosting your hair’s health by using low level laser therapy a few times each week or taking nutritional supplements like biotin, marine-derived proteins and polysaccharides.

Is Megan Fox Losing Her Hair?

Photos by PR Photos

The tabloids are buzzing about rumors that Megan Fox, who stars in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, suffered hair loss after a salon mishap.

According to a source who spoke to Star Magazine: "She went [back] to a different stylist, and they ended up using a metallic hair dye that reacted to the initial product. Next thing you know, her hair started falling out in clumps!" More details available on Celebitchy.

Is it true? It hasn't been substantiated, so take this latest Hollywood gossip with a grain of salt. However, frequent harsh chemical treatments have been known to cause damage to the hair strands and the underlying follicles - resulting in hair loss in some circumstances. Remember January Jones' admission that frequent hair dyeing had caused hers to fall out? If Ms. Fox really did have a salon mishap though, it's likely to be a temporary problem unless her scalp was actually burned.

Lady Gaga Continues to Battle Hair Loss

It was first reported last summer that music sensation Lady Gaga was suffering from hair loss. She soon confirmed that her hair was damaged from constant dyeing and bleaching and that she was taking Rogaine in an attempt to reverse the damage.

Now, new reports are speculating that her ongoing battle with hair loss is one of the reasons she has retreated from the public eye in recent months. While hair loss is nothing to be ashamed of, it can be especially hard for women to cope with, especially young women like Gaga, who are under constant media scrutiny. Not many realize that Gaga is a natural brunette, because she has been a platinum blonde since launching her career. While this kind of routine is no doubt harmful to hair, it is unlikely that this alone is behind her hair loss. There are many other factors to consider, such as genetic predisposition, diet, medications, etc.

While Rogaine may help her grow healthier hair, there are other steps she should be taking to optimize her results. I would recommend combining her Rogaine treatments with a regimen of low level laser therapy which is known to stimulate growth and help create thicker, fuller, healthier hair. Hair vitamins, such as Viviscal, can also aid those suffering from hair loss or thinning in achieving stronger, healthier hair.

Slash Cuts Divorce Plans

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash recently called off plans to divorce his wife of nine years. That's good news, but I'm more interested in the legendary rocker's hair.

As the rocker has aged, his long curly hair has appeared to be ageless ... Which has led many to speculate that he might be wearing a wig.

It's difficult to tell from the photos if he is in fact using hair extensions, but I don't think so. After all, recent photos show that he has some hairline recession up top. If he was wearing a wig, he'd probably try to hide that too. However, I do suspect the 45-year old is using hair dye to keep his locks a youthful black. (FYI, men have a 40-percent of hair loss in their 40s. The odds of going gray go up considerably too. See my previous post on that subject here.)

But whatever the facts may be, one thing is certain: the guy rocks!
