Vincent's Kartheiser's Unfortunate Hairline

While many fans are sad to know that the cast of Mad Men is wrapping up filming on the final season, but cast member Vincent Kartheiser probably has at least one good reason to look forward to giving up the role of Pete Campbell - his hairline!

The actor, 34, has had to shave his hairline to help his character age, and when asked recently about the prospect of getting his hairline back, he simply replied, "It doesn't bother me, one way or the other." And quickly clarified that his real hairline isn't receding, at least not yet! "Most of my friends were like, 'Dude, don't do that, it might never come back in!' But luckily I have a good head of hair."

While 34 might seem young to experience hair loss, 30 percent of men will face some degree of hair loss in the 30s, and the risk increases as they age. Now that Vincent has had a chance to live with a receding hairline, hopefully it inspires him to take good care of his hair and start preventative treatments early!

Is Mitt Romney's Hair Fake?

At 64, Mitt Romney continues to keep his remarkably full hairline. As most people know, the hair loss risk increases with age, but, specifically, at his age, Romney is defying 50- to 60 percent chance of hair loss.

Whether you are a fan of his politics or not, you can't deny he looks good for his age, and can't help but wonder how does he do it?

While his hairline is controlled, consistent and specific - it isn't unnatural, which means his perfect hairline isn't due to a hair transplant. My guess would be he is using a strong conditioner or maybe a light styling product to keep his hair in check during those heated debates. As for his gray hair, it too looks natural, although at times there has appeared to be more gray than others - not uncommon among those in the spotlight. It wouldn't surprise me if Romney, who has been known to cut his own hair at times, is keeping the gray hair in check with a DIY color treatment.

It is certainly possible that Romney is using some medical intervention to help maintain his healthy hairline, but if you look at photos of his dad and his full head of hair, its clear the politician is also blessed with good genes!

The bottom line is, if you want hair like Mitt's - start with good genes! But today, there is good news for those less fortunate in the genes department, medical therapies and low level laser therapy can help you keep the hair that you have, while FUE hair transplants can restore what you've lost!

Recession Alert: John C. Reilly

Actor John C. Reilly seems to be on a slight hiatus from film making - hopefully he is using his free time to address his receding hairline!

Reilly, 46, is has deep recession in the temporal region, which isn't at all uncommon for a man his age. In fact, 40 percent of all men experience some hair loss in their 40s. If Reilly wants to slow down the progression of hair loss, he may want to consider some preventative options. FDA-approved Rogaine or Propecia could help stop further recession, while a regimen of Low Level Laser Therapy could stimulate healthy hair growth.

He would hardly be the first actor to embrace these treatments, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many actors looking to enhance their looks discreetly.

Recession Alert: Matt Damon

Good news for men everywhere, even with a receding hairline you can still be a Hollywood heartthrob! Just look at former sexiest man alive, Matt Damon.

In recent photos of the actor, 41, you can see early signs of temporal recession, which isn't at all uncommon for a man his age. Thirty percent of men in their 30s experience hair loss and the number increases to 40 percent as men enter their 40s. From the photos, it appears that Damon is Norwood Class I, which means that while his hairline is maturing, typical of an adult hairline, he has yet to see any frontal balding. He is also fortunate to have an otherwise full head of hair.

Considering his status on the Hollywood A-list, Damon might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help him avoid any further recession. He would hardly be the first celebrity to take action against hair loss, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many looking to enhance their looks discreetly.

Charlie Sheen Not 'Winning' Fight Against Recession

Charlie Sheen has garnered much attention the past few months for his public antics and breakdowns. In fact, so much attention has been focused on his behavior that no one seems to have noticed his receding hairline - but from the photo, you can see he isn't 'winning' that fight.

His close cut shows deep recession in his temporal region, not uncommon for a man his age. And while I'm guessing he has other things on his mind than hair loss, there are many options available to help prevent future loss or slow down the process.

Charlie, 45, might want to think about a preventative treatment, like FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help him avoid any further recession. Low Level Laser Therapy could also be used to help grow fuller, healthier hair.

Sheen would hardly be the first actor to embrace these treatments, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many actors looking to enhance their looks discreetly.

Balding Prince William to Wed on Friday

The royal wedding is only days away and the world is buzzing over what Kate's dress will look like and what hat the queen will wear.

But what about Prince William? While his attire is less concerning, his hair loss, has garnered much attention throughout his engagement.

At 28, Prince William has advanced male pattern hair loss for his age - in fact, he's a Norwood Class III-vertex, progressing quickly toward IV and beyond.

While it is far too late to see any improvements in the wedding photos, if Prince William wants to work on future damage control, he should start a multi-therapy approach immediately that combines finasteride (Propecia), minoxidil (Rogaine) and Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).

Non-invasive FDA-approved therapies can start reversing the miniaturization of the hair follicles immediately. Because hair growth rates are slow, the results will take 3-9 months to become appreciated.

A microsurgical FUE hair transplant with NeoGraft (the "Cadillac of hair transplants") would also do wonders for him.

The Company Men's Tommy Lee Jones Facing Recession

Tommy Lee Jones' new movie The Company Men deals with the economic recession - but in real life, the actor is facing a recession of another kind.

As you can see from the photos, Jones has deep recession in his temporal region and thinning across the hairline has left only wispy strands of hair. But thanks to new technology, he still has options.

If he were my patient, I'd advise him to start a regimen of Propecia or Rogaine immediately, to help stop further recession. I'd also suggest Low Level Laser Therapy which could help stimulate growth.

At 64, some might think he is too old to invest in hair treatment, but new, non-invasive treatment options might entice the star to make a change - especially as he continues to be in the spotlight.

Did Ralph Fiennes Shave Off His Receding Hairline?

Ralph Fiennes has reportedly been tapped to play the villain in the upcoming James Bond movie.

Currently, the actor can be seen around town sporting a newly shaved head - perhaps to hide his receding hairline. While that is one way to deal with temporal recession, there are many other non-invasive treatment options available.

Ralph, 47, might want to think about a preventative treatment, like FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help him avoid any further recession. Low Level Laser Therapy could also be used to help grow fuller, healthier hair.

Fiennes would hardly be the first actor to embrace these treatments, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many actors looking to enhance their looks discreetly.

Mel Gibson Getting Ready for Comeback

Mel Gibson has had a tough couple of years. Between court dates and meltdowns, he hasn't had much time to think about his hair. But with a new movie coming out and rumors swirling that he is eyeing a comeback, this might be the time!

Gibson, 55, is seeing deep recession in the temporal region as well as thinning across his hair line - nothing uncommon for a man his age.

The best course of action for him would be to start a regimen of Rogaine or Propecia to help prevent or slow down further recession. His thinning hair would also benefit from Low Level Laser Therapy treatments.

These simple and non-invasive steps could help Gibson feel a lot more confident as he plans his return to the spotlight.

Kelsey Grammer's Thinning Hair

Kelsey Grammer is in the midst of a bitter divorce and planning a wedding - no wonder this guy is losing his hair!

Grammer has deep recession across his hair line, but all hope it not lost. The thin strands of hair across the recession area suggest that with proper treatment, he might be able to stimulate some growth.

If he were my patient, I'd start him on Rogaine and Low Level Laser Therapy treatments immediately, which could help turn his wispy strands into thicker, healthier hair.

But if he really wants to start his new life with a new look, I'd recommend a hair transplant using NeoGraft FUE.

Gavin Rossdale Rocks Receding Hairline

Rocker Gavin Rossdale is known for his trendy style and is usually seen around town wearing the latest fashions. But his newest accessory, a receding hairline, isn't what most would consider fashionable.

From recent photos, when he pulls his hair back, it looks like Gavin, 45, is a Norwood Class III, due to the considerable recession in the corner areas. The Class III pattern can be a sign of early balding, and in some cases, worthy of a transplant.

I would suggest a preventative treatment like Propecia to stop further recession. But for optimal results, Gavin may want to consider a NeoGraft FUE transplant. The FUE is a popular choice among those in the entertainment industry as there is no scarring and no stitches.

Ed O'Neill's Aging Hairline

Modern Family's Ed O'Neill hasn't seemed to age much from his days on Married...With Children - with the exception of his hairline that is.

The funny man, 64, has deep recession in the temporal region, looks like Norwood Class III. However, there is still hope for what hair he does has left.

And while some might think he is too old to invest in hair treatments, new, non-invasive treatment options might entice the star to make a change - especially as he continues to be in the spotlight. If he did decide to seek treatment, I'd recommend a combined regimen of Rogaine and Low Level Laser Therapy treatments which might stimulate the thinning follicles into healthier, thicker hair.

Tiger Woods Rebuilding Game and Image

Tiger Woods' top priority is his golf game - and rightfully so - but the star is also hoping to make a personal comeback in 2011. The golf pro, 35, is no doubt coming off a stressful year and it shows in his hair.

Like many men his age, Tiger is seeing deep recession is the temporal region as well as a growing bald spot.

Tiger might want to consider a minimally invasive hair transplant with NeoGraft FUE. The procedure is ideal for athletes as it avoids having stitches in their donor area and calls for minimal recovery, usually three days, so it wouldn't disrupt his golf game.

While it might take a while for Tiger to fully get his swing back, a new 'do' might be just what he needs to help rebuild his confidence off the green.

Recession Alert - Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm, 39, will soon battle for a Golden Globe statue for his work on Mad Men, but off camera, the star is fighting a more common battle - hairline recession.

From recent photos, it appears that Jon is Norwood Class II, which means that while his hairline is maturing, typical of an adult hairline, he has yet to see any frontal balding. He is also fortunate to have an otherwise full head of hair.

This type of recession isn't uncommon for men Hamm's age. In fact, 40 percent of men in their 40s experience hair loss. However, he might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Rogaine or Propecia to help stop further recession.

Receding Hairline Hiding Under Tim McGraw's Hat

Tim McGraw is rarely seen without his trademark hat, and while many assume this is to enhance his cowboy image, recent photos suggest that Tim might also be wearing a hat to hide his disappearing hairline.

The country crooner, 43, is showing deep recession in the temporal region - not uncommon for his age. From the photos, it looks like he is Norwood Class III, which means over the next several years he is likely to see the recession worsen.

If he wants to avoid having to wear his cowboy hat all the time, I would suggest a multi-therapy approach, such as Propecia and Rogaine to stop or slow down further recession.

Ryan Gosling Does Method Balding

'Blue Valentine' is getting a lot of early buzz, NY Daily News reviewed the movie saying, "It offers it all for movie fans, even method balding by Ryan Gosling."

In the film, Ryan's character ages six years, to help Ryan age on screen, his hairline is shown receding throughout the movie. In an interview he said he modeled his hairline after his director.

Gosling, who turned 30 this year, still has a full head of hair, but he is beginning to see some temporal recession. It might be time for the actor to start thinking about FDA-approved medication Rogaine or Propecia.

Jessica Simpson's "Hottie" - Combover?

Pop star Jessica Simpson said she's in her first real "healthy relationship," this time with former NFL tight end Eric Johnson. But after looking at recent pictures of the happy duo, it appears Johnson has some hairline recession up top - and, worse, he tries to hide it with a poorly advised combover/Caesar cut. Yikes! Time to throw a penalty flag on this one.

Looks like its time to consider medical treatment with finasteride (Propecia) or other fda-approved treatment if he's going to stop the recession.
