Recession Alert: David Beckham

David Beckham might be unmatched on the soccer field, but off the field, it appears he's fighting the same fight as millions of other men - a receding hairline!

In recent photos of the athlete, 36, you can see early signs of temporal recession, which isn't at all uncommon for a man his age. Thirty percent of men in their 30s experience hair loss and the number increases to 40 percent as men enter their 40s. From the photos, it appears that Beckham is Norwood Class II, which means that while his hairline is maturing, typical of an adult hairline, he has yet to see any frontal balding. He is also fortunate to have an otherwise full head of hair.

Considering his status on the Hollywood A-list, Beckham might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help him avoid any further recession. He would hardly be the first celebrity to take action against hair loss, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many looking to enhance their looks discreetly. The NeoGraft FUE transplant has become a popular procedure among athletes as it avoids them having stitches in their donor area and calls for minimal recovery, usually three days, so it doesn't keep them out of the gym.

Recession Alert: Bradley Cooper

Good news for men everywhere, even with a receding hairline you can be named People magazine's sexiest man alive, just look at this year's winner Bradley Cooper.

In recent photos of the Hangover star, 36, you can see early signs of temporal recession, which isn't at all uncommon for a man his age. Thirty percent of men in their 30s experience hair loss and the number increases to 40 percent as men enter their 40s. From the photos, it appears that Cooper is Norwood Class II, which means that while his hairline is maturing, typical of an adult hairline, he has yet to see any frontal balding. He is also fortunate to have an otherwise full head of hair.

Considering his resume now includes the sexiest man alive title, Cooper might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help him avoid any further recession. He would hardly be the first actor to take action against hair loss, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many actors looking to enhance their looks discreetly.

Recession Alert - Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm, 39, will soon battle for a Golden Globe statue for his work on Mad Men, but off camera, the star is fighting a more common battle - hairline recession.

From recent photos, it appears that Jon is Norwood Class II, which means that while his hairline is maturing, typical of an adult hairline, he has yet to see any frontal balding. He is also fortunate to have an otherwise full head of hair.

This type of recession isn't uncommon for men Hamm's age. In fact, 40 percent of men in their 40s experience hair loss. However, he might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Rogaine or Propecia to help stop further recession.

David Arquette - Time to Start Preventive Treatment

While actress Courteney Cox says she isn't divorcing David Arquette, one thing may be coming to an end for the 39-year old actor: perfect hair.

David has pretty good follicles for his age, but recent photos show the hairline recession has started. Based on these photos, I'd say he's in the Norwood Class IIA phase, with minimal temporal recession and mild thinning in the frontal hairline.

Male pattern hair loss is much more common in a person's 40s, so expect to see David develop more prominent recession at the corners over the next several years.

Let's hope David and Courteney are able to work out their differences and keep their marriage intact. Let's also hope that Courteney can talk him into beginning preventive hair loss treatment now, before the recession gets worse.
